Houston area housing stats, March 2008
I am sure most folks interested in Houston housing read the latest HAR sales data as posted by Nancy Sarnoff in the Houston Chronicle on April 15. There is a slow down occuring across all housing segments but it is my opinion that the slow down is/has occured because of the tighter lending standards created by the mortgage meltdown. Houston is clearly creating jobs but if homeowners can't sell their existing home they will have trouble moving up to more expensive homes.
The data in the Sunday, April 13 Chronicle showed that most of the upper end housing communities located in Montgomery, Fort Bend, Brazoria and Galveston Counties had annual apprcciation during 2007 and we expect this to continue especially for the nicer Master Planned Communities (MPC's). Clearly job growth is moving west, southeast, south, southwest, northwest and north. There have been at least four major new office and/or medical developments announced in Fort Bend County in the past month. You can drive the West Sam Houston Tollway from Hwy 59 (Southwest Freeway) north to I-45 North and you will find at least 10 new office buildings under construction or recently finished and they are filling up based on leases announced in the Chronicle.
All of this job growth is fueling our economy. The only problem in Houston is that the mortgage meltdown has created a tight lending market, which, in time, will correct itself. Hopefully the mortgage issues will be resolved within the next six to ten months. When it is, rest assured the pent up demand for housing will be released. Even with slowing sales numbers this past March, the median home price still rose. Houston is still the best housing market in the country and with the creation of more jobs, Houston will contiue to prosper. Thanks for reading the blog, Kirk Laguarta

I have never blogged a day in my life, nor am I completely computer savy, but I thought this might be a fun thing to try. :) I guess I should start out by saying my name is Melissa and I am married to the most wonderful man in all the world! I have three beautiful children with unique personalities all their own. I'm one blessed gal! We live in a semi-small town in the lovely state of Kentucky. We own a two story home there and we've worked tirelessly to create a warm, cozy atmosphere for our family. We bought our home about 3 years ago and boy oh boy was it a mess. It had been repossessed by the bank and the previous owners made sure they took EVERYTHING that wasn't tied down. I'm talking EVERYTHING! There were no light fixtures or appliances (well except for the partially hanging microwave that they couldn't figure out how to get off the wall), no closet organizers........heck, they even took the light switch plates and outlet covers! lol We had our hands full. It has taken everyday of the three years we have been here to get it to the point where it is now, but it no longer looks like the shell of a house it once was. It now has new flooring, paint and it's filled with goodies I've found on shopping trips and it's decorated from corner to corner. Hey, we even have light fixtures and appliances......imagine that! I call our house our cottage and I get some pretty good laughs because it's not a typical cottage sized house....it's about 2200 sq feet. I guess that might be small to some, but it was big for us.....see we moved from a house of about 1000 sq feet.........which felt MUCH more like a cottage size. :) I have a wreath with a sign inside that says welcome to our cottage......that sign gets lots of chuckles........but to me our house is full of Cottage Charm and will always be the "little" cottage of our dreams.
I basically make about $6,000-$8,000 a month online. It’s enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 10-13 hours a week from home. I was amazed how easy it was after I tried it.best juicer for cleanse
Establishing a solid credit history is the most straightforward method of qualifying for any house mortgage loan. Filling out a two-minute loan application is the quickest and most convenient method to see whether you are eligible for a Poor Credit Mortgage loan or a Bad Credit Mortgage loan. In addition to these loan options, there is a Bad Credit Re-Mortgage loan product that may be used to refinance your existing loan. If you want to learn more about this information, you may go to the Mortgage Intelligence website.
FHA Manufactured Home Loans are the greatest option if you want to receive a loan for a manufactured home. You don't have to be a millionaire with these loans to acquire one. Most of their criteria are realistic for anybody trying to purchase a property, but there are a few. You must be able to pay your bills and establish your income to get a loan. Borrowers are expected to live in the house permanently, and they must follow all applicable standards while setting it up. This checklist is fair for any potential homeowner.
nice!
